We cared truly, most times it was more than enough.
It never goes unnoticed. We made our feelings loud and clear.
All efforts end in wasted time.
Don’t act like it meant nothing because at one point she was something.

You cared for her, more than she cared for you.
Nothing else mattered because she was all you needed.
You loved her, maybe even more than she loved you.
Every waking moment was wanting to spend it with her.
You missed her, even if she was just lying asleep next to you.
The little things she would do would make you realize,
just the reason you chose her in the first place.
You knew she could do better off without you, but she did choose you.
You should’ve known better.

Things get taken for granted all the time, that’s how things fall apart.

You’ll think of her at one point. Maybe, just maybe you’ll miss her.
Hopefully you won’t know it too late because she’ll probably forget about you by then.
She stood by you, even at your worst. Let you shine at your best.
It didn’t matter who wanted you, she knew she was yours.
What you don’t understand are the things you didn’t take time to recognize.
She could’ve been it.

She would’ve loved you more than any other could.
She would’ve dedicated her life making you happy.
She would’ve sacrificed so much just for you.
She would’ve made you her world.
She would’ve cared.
Should’ve, would’ve, could’ve
Now she’s gone.
All she could ever ask for was the same feeling in return.
She wasn’t asking for the material things, she just wanted you.
Just one thing and you couldn’t even give that to her.
Frankly, she’s better off without you.

She doesn’t need someone who let her go or gave up on her.
Not someone who didn’t acknowledge what she was really worth.
Don’t get me wrong, she still cares about you.
But she now knows what she deserves, thanks to you.
